The other day I stumbled upon an article about a TV series called 'Yacht Rock' which parodied the popular rock/pop music of the late 70's and early 80's. It got me thinking (and laughing) about what songs I'd play if I was on a yacht in 1983 (or thereabouts) to entertain my guests while making a new batch of prawn cocktails and halved-oranges with cheese-skewered toothpicks.

pictured above: 80's yacht guests.
Here's my picks; what are yours?
Phil Collins And Phillip Bailey - Easy Lover
Phil Collins And Phillip Bailey - Easy Lover
Billy Ocean - Caribbean Queen
Luther Vandross - Never Too Much
Hall & Oates - Out Of Touch
Christopher Cross - Ride Like The Wind
Duran Duran - Rio
Some real classics there folks.
PS- In the video clip for 'Rio' by Duran Duran they actually are on a yacht. I imagine when that much 80's-tastic music is around a yacht just magically appears.
